[GI] Is it worth building Kronos for Saturn?

As the title says,is it worth completing 13 GGs for a chance to get g-saturn?If yes,is it possible to complete it with only a FE ship?

 

All gates are possible with an FE ship.

My recommended configs (these are for goli):

1. Speed
Ship: 15 LF-3, 15 G3N-7900
Drones: 4 LF-3, 12 SGEN-BO2, if apis or zeus, add LF-3 to them.

2. Slow Damage
Ship: 15 LF-3, 4 G3N-7900, 11 SGEN-BO2
Drones: 16 LF-3, if apis or zeus, add SGEN-BO2

I use these configs all the time and I never fail a gate.

Obviously, if you have any LF-4s, use them in place of the LF-3. Or Spectral Lancer III, they have 175 dmg compared to the LF-3's 150.

And as it is with all gates, it's a chance to get G-Saturn. I would do it on a double day to double the chance of getting it. The G-Saturn gives a 20% HP bonus so it's pretty useful in gates when mixed with Hercs (all hercs add 20% HP) and Heart formation (20% more hp)

Not to mention, the crown looks better than the rings in my opinion. Rings clutter it up.

On my old account, I completed Kronos 7 times. No G-Saturn.
On this account, I did it once and received G-Saturn.

Of course, once you receive it, the only thing Kronos is good for is the extra energy and the ammo.

It's your gamble, but there's my opinion on it.

I can assure you that if you know what you're doing you'll have absolutely no trouble doing any gate (well hades is kinda hard to solo lol) with just an FE ship, gamma will simply take a while but that's all

 

Think about it this way, you don't have to force build the gate. You will eventually get to do every gate at some point and eventually you will have the Kronos parts needed for the gate i think i did it before or after i had a few 3 or 4 lf4's. It will just take time, some more than others but remember what gates use to be something to explore and not bash right into and you can buy lives too if you are not feeling confident.

 

No, it isn't worth. Take Solace, which have a 10% shield bonus and it can heal 50% of HP instantly every 90 sec. That's much better than the 20% HP bonus of Saturn.

 

If you run the configs as specified until you get to the last map, Protegits you want speed on both sides I usually run 4 BO-2 on ship both sides and split my drones shield/laser and have no problem with Gamma. Kronos is a FREE gate so if you get one why not do it? As stated do it on Special Gate Weekend/day to increase rewards but it is some free play time without needing to worry about being attacked by some cloaker bully.

 

Worth it? Nah, not really ever since the Solace came out, but it's a great item to have for the sake of collection.
Plus, you get a really neat lil' crown over your rank Cx

I got the Saturn on my first and only Kronos, but it is different for everyone.
If you don't have the Solace yet, hey, doesn't hurt to try

 

As stated, your basically going for a chance at a 20% HP boost when using that ship. Or is it design, I can't keep them straight anymore.

At any rate, since you are FE, you should be good. The key to doing gates, much like regular PVE, is proper speed. I play using credit ships with credit equipment, or as I say: FC. I run a Bigboy and a Nostro with credit speed, lasers, shield and flax. I just finished completing the Beta gate using the Bigboy for the majority of the gate and was forced to switch to the Nostro to get the Prots in the corners because of the speed needed to stay ahead of them without getting popped. Before anyone says anything, thats just how I play. Cheers...

 

Sounds like fun actually, limiting yourself to credits. Poses a challenge for many things

 

Kronos is a fun gate to do...too bad it took me 5 Kronos gates to get my Saturn design.

if doing the Gamma Gate use a ship with a 5% damage ability. Get 6 boosters .... 1) damage , 2) shield , 3) hit-point , 4) honor
5) experience and 6) resource. If you have a Kami 3 for your pet that helps .... Don't pop the NPC , send them to the corners ...
Make sure you have plenty of sep ammo , sep rockets , prom speed gens and sep shields. I keep a min. of 500k sep on my laser ammo
100k sep on my rockets , 100k prom on my speed and 100k sep on my shield gens . Now for the trick .... outfit up with a teammate/clan member who has a Solace . Even when doing gates or on different maps the Solace ability will heal your HP only as long as you're not in combat . I used credit ammo and rockets .
Most importantly take your time .... I'm not sure if this is one of the gates that will actually do a Doubler Rewards but if it does you can stand to receive 716k in honor alone . Here is the link to the gate and waves . Also use a speed side config. of at least 10 speed gens with 5 shields on the ship along with on each of your Irises an lf3/lf4/Spectral III with a shield gen. as long as you can outrun the NPC for repairs you can easily do the Gamma in 1 sitting .

Honour,experience and resource boosters are a waste a credits,besides right now i am very poor on credits(40 million).How am i gonna outfit with a someone when Gamma is a solo gate?:c

 

neoonoma you can outfit with anyone anytime anywhere . They won't be physically in the gate but in the group outfit . Solace ship ability for outfit is shared in the group . 2 member group splits 150k HP that's 75k HP each . 3 member group equals 50k HP each etc. etc. I have done this many times with my clanmates as well as with friends .... I have the Solace so I know the rewards of outfitting . I hope that clarifies. Honour,experience boosters are cheap 4m creds each is a fair bid

also neoonoma , boosters are stackable . each booster has a 10 hr limit, 2 like boosters I.e. damage booster equals 20 hrs . Their damage will not double just time .

 

Okay got the rest but you must be playing in a very empty server to get it only for 4 mil.On global servers boosters are expensive.

 

lol .... nah , The USA East1 server isn't empty or dead . It's full of 'cashers' , UFE ships and beyond . I'm one of the 'Old School' players
that has built a halfway decent FE credit ship that when equipped I can push around 100k damage per volley using rsb and Uber rockets.
I've been playing for 7 yrs now so the 'Big Guns' kind of let me work my tail off to use DarkOrbit uri to build my gates , pally , box
and PVE . That's why I use the boosters I spoke of earlier . These folks here on this server are really pretty nice once you get to know
them .... There are your Trolls and Haters , that's on any server. Bidding here gets less and less towards the earlier hrs of the morning.
