[GI] need help with Spearhead Elite

I am flying a Spearhead Elite and I have a guy [REMOVED] who runs me down and kills me. His GOLIATH is much faster then my Spearhead Elite which is 584 speed . I have all speed generator with orange rock. It will not take the purple one. I have my pilot skill maxed. What am I doing wrong? I thought this was the fastest ship on DO. ANYONE?

 

Are you using any drone formations? Tartarus is the fastest ship with its ability and WHEEL formation increases ships speed by 5%. There was also a glitch that was seen with the release of the Tartarus ship that allowed a person to WARP from a Tart into another ship and carry the speed boost to the warped ship. I do not know if this was fixed or not but it might be what is happening also.

Just some possibilities as to why the Goliath can run you over.

 

Are u sure it was common goliath design without a wheel, cause a surgeon goliath with wheel has good chance of catching you.

Total speed (with ability): (220+150)+20%+40%= 621.6
Total speed (no ability): (220+150)+20%= 444
+Wheel Formation: +5% (with ability) = 652
+Wheel Formation: +5% (no ability) = 466

Pusat & Spearhead
Base Speed: 370
+Speed Generators: +120
+Prom boost: +20%
Total: (370+120)+20%=588
+Wheel Formation: +5% =617

The Goliath (Surgeon)
Base Speed: 300
+Speed Generators: +160
+Prom boost: +20%
Total: (300+160)+20%=552
+Wheel Formation: +5% =579.6

The Goliath (Normal + Skill Designs)
Base Speed: 300
+Speed Generators: +150
+Prom boost: +20%
Total: (300+150)+20%=540
+Wheel Formation: +5% =567

Vengeance Lightning
Base Speed: 380
+Speed Generators: +100
+Prom boost: +20%
+Ability Boost: +30%
Total: (380+100)+20%+30%=748.8 (capped at 748) for 5 secs only and then back to regular 576 without ability.
+Wheel Formation: +5% (with ability) = 785
+Wheel Formation: +5% (no ability) = 604.8
