[GI] New graphics update

Ok I'm not a computer tech person, however. I log into the computer this morning and see there is a new graphics update. I log in and everything is a bunch of little squares. I get in chat and they show me how to go to retro mode. That's not much better. I am almost UFE and the lag go me popped twice by NPCs that wouldn't be a problem for me normally. I play on a computer that was built for gaming and is less than 4 months old. Someone show me how to change everything back to the old graphics? This is very frustrating!

 

Graphics issue:Top right on front screen is a COG icon (settings), on the first screen DISPLAY, (1) Choose 2D version, (2) bellow that reduce graphics settings to average for Background, ship, Explosions, Zones, Engines.
(3) Bottom of page unclick “Turn game into retro mode “ – its above SAVE. (4) Press SAVE, log out and it should be ok when you log in (5) send ABC £50 (6) and welcome to DO Aprils fools

 

That doesn't really help. The squares are gone but the graphics still look like an old 90's video game.

 

I am having no problems in the game after just de-clicking the RETRO box.

 

Well the rest happened and the joke is on us. My ship is still in pixels.

 

settings unclick retro settings u back in the game

 

Have you done any of the items that have been stated to do to go back to NORMAL game play?

Steps are;

• Open in game Settings
• In Display screen
• Make sure Advanced is selected
• Bottom of box (where it says line about "Retro")
• un check the box
• Save and close Settings

This returns game to the normal game settings and visual effects.

well i was playing real fine 2 days before and i thought was my pc problem but after going on a serious of changes on all settings i realized that something else maybe foult because i think i am playing gta san andreas lol ( too much lag
Nice 1april joke btw . when i first sow that i thought it was realy happening but i had just woke up so after coffe i understand whats going on nice one

 

Yes as a JOKE it was nice, but the subsequent lag caused by it is not. IF after removing the RETRO look, you still have issues with the game play it is not much fun. I have not seen any lag with my ship, but have seen what others are calling LAG (slow PET) as the PET is not at the Bonus Box to collect and has already collected it, making us think it is LAG in the game.

D O please look into this and fix it.
