[GI]NEWBIE HELP MULTIPLE QUESTIONS

Okay so ive just started up and i wanted to know which server is most active and which faction is most active?

Also do i have to get to a certain level for global chat to activate? or is there some way i join it?

I used to play yearsss ago and it used to be thriving i dont know how much its chnaged since so could somoene help me out please

 

I cannot give a direct answer to first question, but a lot of the servers have been merged recently in the last few months so most servers are more active. Dark orbit used to direct you to a certain faction based on number of faction players as in the faction with the least amount of players will be recommended to new players who choose a faction when registering a new account. You can see global chat at any level. If you cannot see chat you might have to complete the tutorial and/or change player settings.

 

Most active servers are probably global america and global europe. However as stated above, there we a lot of mergers. Its really hard to say how the others built up. The server set I play has settled back down now, as I knew it would. Global chat should be on by level 7, which is only an hour or two of solid play.

One point they don't make is what time you play. I'm a morning person, but I want the games and events that are played at night. So I picked a Europe group to play, but it isn't still late enough for me. When it is 12pm Noon, it is night time for them so I can play some, but not much. Then I can get into the night events DO has. Turkey would have been better because I'm on the east coast USA. That way I could have played night games when its morning here. I'm not going to start a 4th server and start over on another ship. Three is enough. Just a thought.

The big problems today is "MCC and what to do" I think that is the name of the string that was posted and "Bots and Cheats" is another one. The game has been changed over the years too. There is a new laser too that is out and it doesn't use Seprom. So read about that too. Check DARK ORBIT (DO) Bible.

As they said they merged a lot of servers together some just into one. I have two servers that are the same now and have 2 ships on one server. I only can play one at a time though. So there are a lot of people out there and the Black is full.

Once you start you get several level of protection before you become a target for bullies.

Try to build your Sky Lab up too, but don't waste your Uridium on it. Wait for it. Yea it will take longer, but is save's you money. Check the Calendar too. That is where the action is or going to be. There are days when Upgrades are cheaper, and Special on Uridium too. Saturday (I think) night they have a 2 hour special on Uridium a 400% more. That is when to buy it.

Clans, well that is up to you. I in one and the only thing I get out of it I can build Space Station, which don't last long either. The other two servers I'm not in one.

Last thought; Auction House, you can get most of your items there at a reduce cost. Bid on items you don't want too, and resale them for more credits. Buy low and sell high. There ships too in the weekly and Daily Auction. Get a Citadel, if you don't fight it, it is a good cargo transfer ship from your Sky Lab, and add a "Cargo Bay Expansion" more can get transfer or just make your cargo bay bigger. It is also the tank of the ships and carries 2 rocket launchers. The Elite of the class is the one I like.

I play in GE1 and its pretty active.
There are no lvl limits to joining chat.
Occasionally the connection may be lost but , chat is there for everyone.
If it has been YEARS since you played, then yes, many things have changed.
I suggest you take a moment to re familiarize yourself with the back page and the store.
Depending how long its actually been for you , even the auction house has changed. (you no longer have to worry about losing your credits if you don't win the bid).
Check the Hanger ;many changes there .
