[GI] OMG, auto refine on ship

Oh my, I had auto refine on ship turned off I thought, but I transferred those low level ores to complete the 5000 days quest and wondered what happened after that 8 hours and nothing much to show for it.

Not sure if that setting is game wide for the player or ship specific, but it cost me a day. So just saying this here to help other n00bs like me possibly avoid the same mistake.

 

Yes i did the same.
In fact I made the mistake 3 times costing me 3 lots of 875 URI. (premium) (2652 URI)
Another problem.
They keep popping up all the time.

it took me about 15 minutes to pickup the ores for the quest in 3-8 in a spearhead (200 cargo) with auto refine turned off
so no need to use the transfer system

You guys DO realize you just had to pick up the cargo from destroyed ships to get the ores .With the trade drone and a couple of 4-5 kills I had it done in like 5 mins.(with auto refine turned off). It's about selling it not collecting it.

 

Ok, I don't fly in 4-5 yet as my ship is small. I think my max cargo hold is 4k. I always pick up the drop from my kill. You can't sell it if you don't kill/collect it or transfer it to your ship. I'm glad you have trade drone and can get things done so fast. Pat yourself on the back, please don't break your arm.

This post was to help other n00bs like me avoid the same issue, not to have a grandstander tell us how much faster and better he could do it while implying how stupid we are, thank you so much.
