[GI] rank points

really not understanding rank points.been bashing new gate in event .3k off lvl up to basic major then event finished still had normal gates open ,so smashed them .so my rp woz 942,000 or round abouts before normal gates alfa beta gamma and did zeta too then i check this morning at 7.30 this morning you need approx 1,041,025 to lvl up to basic major .not happy

 

It seems like some player with higher rank came to you company, so rank points needed to that rank raised

 

Or they just bashed the GG over and over...some GG can get you from 3,000 to 6,000 rp or so thereabouts each depending on the GG opened and played. Or this person quit and came back and was at a much higher rank than you...Basic apace pilots can do that to the rankings.

 

but the thing is they all left went vru and eic so ime thinking i would jump up a bit but no

 

There are two rankings - exp and rp - if you jump Companies then you lose rp which affects your badge and exp stays the same. Good for you stay with your Co.mp.

 

If you bash g8s hard with boosters 150k rps are possible in a day easy

Thank you everyone for assisting the user with their concern.

While you are working on rank points so is everyone else. You will only climb to the next rank if you pass the people in front of you which means you will need to add rank points faster than the next person. To increase your Badge Rank more efficiently, bonuses to Honor will have the greatest influence. On a personal note, I myself did not know this when I began and switching companies got me stuck at a Chief Major to this day

Another note to remember is that Ranks are based on a percentage of the active players in your company. Gates are a good rank point earner as stated above if you are not much of a PvP player which gives great rank points per kill. Another helpful thing might be to group up with other users and just bash npc's.
