[GI] repaired drones

I had to repair my iris drones. This dropped the level to 5' Is this decrease permanent?

 

no the decrease is not permenant its just what happens when you repair your drones they drop 1 level and you just level them back up to level 6 no need to worry best thing to do is swap into a egg and go kill 1 cube alone or do 2 with a UFE and your drones will be level 6 again

You need to be careful with repairing them too soon as they can be reduced to level 1 if you do them too often. Every repair drops them 1 level from their current level.

Just remember it is easier to level up from 5 to 6 than to have to replace them and redo all of the upgrades if you have already done them. Best to check the Hangar every time you log in and verify the drones have less than 80% damage. Then repair them before they hit 90% as a strong Bio'ed UFE can actually deliver more damage than the drone can handle.

 

When you pop, just be sure to work on leveling the drones back to level 6 after repairing. You should be aware of your damage level as you play, such as checking it after logging onto the game and again after some fighting battles. If you are involved in, say, CBS defense being at 90% damage level could be desasterous. Repeated pops by anyone could mean the end of the drones if not protected.

 

I protect mine in 3 ways... first I have a drones rep chip on both configs... second I check them regularly and thirdly I stagger the repairs (so they cannot all pop at the same time if stage 1 and 2 didnt work ) [most I ever lost was 4 at one time.. but that was before I started the above protective regime]...

If you goto Hangar>Overview>drones tab it lets you know how many points to the next level and they gain each time you pop something... I believe the difference between your ship size and the size of the NPC helps... that is.. if you pop Sibs with a peanut it will lvl your drones quicker than if you pop streuners with a Goli...
You even have an indicator next to your graphic for drones next to your ship... max is 6 so if it says 5.6 or whatever, then some of your drones have repped and are not at full power....

**I use my Leo in lowers to level drones back up. Smaller ship = faster level up.
Takes me about 20 - 30 minutes using my Leo, takes couple hours using my Goliath.

Cause the drones do more of the work and therefore they get leveled faster. Is there really that much of a difference in the power of a level 5 or 6 drone? I get mine leveled back so quickly I never notice the difference.
