[GI] Scrap Drop Rate

So what is the deal with the massive amounts of scrap the Saimons are supposed to have, I got 2 pieces and erased way more than 200 of the little critters and those two pieces came from boss Saimons.
I usually do my hunting in the uppers. Most of the assembly stuff drops pretty often up there.
Is scrap just that rare?
Is there a drop rate for the various assembly material?

What is really funny is the weekend before the event, scrap was dropping like crazy. Now we need it and can't get a break.

 

I agree, the scrap drop rate really sucks during events like this. I started the quest "Times of Plenty" and over two days have only gotten 7 pieces. Killed numerous Saimons and Mordons alike plus bosses and only get one or two here and there. The day before the event though I was getting 1 on almost every kill! Must have been a glitch before the event. Makes me wish I had gotten more. Assembly kind of insn't worth the time if the drop rate of parts is so low.

 

I got my first piece of scrap from a Saimon today, and 1 from a Mordon. LOL
Again over 200 Saimon shot, so it doesn't look like this event is working out to good.
I can't believe this drop rate is the way it's supposed to be.
Also wonder why it's still so bad, if it was good a couple days before the event?
I'm defiantly disappointed, events are supposed to be special.

 

I noticed I got more with PET deactivated!?

 

Do you deactivated all time or can you activate it with Alien Locator and deactivate when destroying the Saimons?
