[GI] Spearhead Vs. Vengeance & Surgeon

Spearhead can not outrun the Pusat
Also I find it hard to outrun the Surgeon with spearhead
provided that I'm flying straight and they flying straight too (not slopping)

my question, having equipped the wheel formation, will it help to outrun them perfectly providing that you can survive 5:10 sec max ?

 

It is strange that you find hard to outrun Surgeon with Spearhead.. Spearhead has the same speed as Pusat, and can outrun Pusat only if you use Wheel Formation, and the Pusat does not use the same formation at that moment.

Surgeon has lower speed than Spearhead anyways, if I am not mistaken.

PS. Straight flying is the best way to outrun someone that is slower than you. Also, by doing that, slow mines will help a lot.

 

I wish you're right but Pusat's speed is 500 where spearhead is only 490, not sure if the wheel formation will be so much of a help

 

Well, you can wait for answer from someone who has Pusat, but I am telling you that: when Pusat was released, when you equip that design the Vengeance gets lower base speed than it has now - 380. So, with all engines equipped and boosted, both Spearhead and Pusat have the same speed. Otherwise, the Pusat would have been overpowered. Maybe you have run out of promerium, or you haven't equipped all the speed engines.

the base speed (with promerium) on the pusat and spear head are both 444; the max speed on both is 588 not including wheel however, wheel is percentage based thus the max speed comes out the same anyways.



You're not going to be able to outrun a Pusat with wheel (unless of course he doesn't have wheel), how ever you do have ultimate cloak, you simply need 5-10 seconds of not being shot to activate it and get away.

On a side note; mathematically you should not be having any problem out-running a Surgeon as its base speed (with Promerium) is:
AND its' speed with Wheel is:


To answer your above Question since the Surgeon speed in wheel is only "9" lower than an average spearhead it can be troublesome; however, if you can get off an EMP or have enough shields switching to wheel should help you easily escape any surgeon.
