[GI] still no fix to the auction

Don't know about anyone else but I'm starting to think the Auction is not useable with this new sysetems robot checker. All i do is lose bids do to being check or warnings of going to fast. How can I be to fast the site has to reboot page after every bid?

 

It's not a bug.
There are people who use programs to quickly bid for the items they need, so it's just there to keep in check. Just bid for the items you want, one at a time per auction.

 

I just bid on everything in auction except ammo and boosters and 3 extras (Drone Repair, single Cloak, Rep-3 Bot) and saw ONE Captcha after bidding on 10 items. So I do not know what you are running into but I made the first 5 manually entering my bid (higher than default 10K) and everything else was click item and bid.

I placed the above bids in less than 6 minutes total. Out of 28 bids I won 11 without even watching them (these were 10K bids).

 

I'm getting message too fast at approximatlely 5% of my bids and I'm placing them one by one. I'm not able to place them faster then 3 bids per minute. Bidding at this game is waiting and waiting and then TOO FAST

 

Yesterday I placed a single bid for a single item and I was 'TooFast'... I must remember to push the key much more slowly...

with all due respect west-star if the bid was too low then it would say that the bid was 'too low' and not say that it was 'too fast'...

I think that's not a fact since I tried to bid on a booster with just 14 secs remaining and then it says "Too Fast" but when I looked at the highest bidder, it was me and won the booster. That was the first time it happened to me since normally when my screen displays "too fast" none of my credit was deducted and I was unable to bid. Moreover I did not ever experienced to have a security captcha after placing a bid unlike some who experienced it.

 

Out of almost 7 years of playing this game, this is the first time I ever saw the CAPTCHA code during my bidding experience.

wow your lucky up till a monthor two ago i would have agreed. I will say that yesterday was the first time in weeks I haven't seen one. I wish I would find LF 4's as easy. They need to find a better way this stoppin real players.

 

Star*Fire seems to be right. I believe "Too Fast" mean somebody else bid on the item short time before you, and the server is not able to prosess it. It's not you. I got "Too Fast" message when I waited a minute to place bid and every time it happened somebody else bid on the item. So its a bug, or poorly implemented security measure to prevent third party programs.

 

It happens all the time to me. It's when two bidders bid at the same time or very close. It's an easy fix, but don't hold your breath.

 

I have been seeing this to. didn't it once say bid to small or something like that. I haven't seen that nasty old security captcha in a while. Just maybe they did a little fine tuning on it. It's funny, the thing that was bugging me. Was that the auction is so slow.You can't wait for the email number to change. how often do you bid? if you engage in "Bid Battles" constantly upping the bid by 10k you are very likely to fall victim to those security checks.

 

Yes, but do you constantly rais ethe bid higher and higher as people try to outbid you or do you wait till the end and drop a number you think is good on it?

 

there is nothing wrong with bidding on multiple things its just that you cant always try to be the top bidder throughout the hour, wait till the end and try ur luck. You will get much better results 100%.

 

If I really want an item and am watching the end of the auction then YES I do re-bid on items and have seldom seen any error except the 10K message as someone posted a bid higher than I did as the auction is not real time based but page refresh screen. I have seen only one Captcha on 5 accounts and that was just recently.

 

It seams to have let up a bit. Not having the issue anymore. I think an ajustment has been made.
