    It's to indicate the level of a pet.

    It was done because with new designs equipped a lv1 pet would look the same as a lv15 pet, so the number is just a way to tell the difference.

    Hello Ghiamonster,

    Thank you Okapi32 for assisting the user with their concern. The Indicated number on the end of the pets name would be their current Level.
