[GI] Upgrading Ai protocols And Gears

hi all im newbie in this game and i recently got a pet, im just wondering how do they upgrade protocols and gear. ive been asking in global chat but they dont give direct answers so i was hoping that someone can help me here. thanks...

1)pets roam too far from their owner? how?

2)how can the pets roam freely in a sector?

3)can i leave my pet in a sector and command it to go boxing while im on other sector popping NPC

1) lvl3 Radar protocols you will need 12 to get full range of map

2) lvl3 protocols allow it to collect further from your ship it can be over half the map

3) NO, Pet will do what ever it wants depending on its selected Pet/Gear

Do not buy lvl1 or lvl2 Radar protocols just get your pet level up by popping npc's etc IMPORTANT with pet active

 

Depending on your P.E.T level and gears and protocols you have on your P.E.T will determine the distance it can travel away from your ship, for example a level 8 P.E.T level 3 Auto looter and radar protocols will have a greater range than a level 1 P.E.T with level 1 gears and
protocols.

Your P.E.T will move freely to collect if you have both configs with either auto looter gear or Resources gear on both configs and you have either one activated.

You can only collect on the same map as your ship and if you are shooting NPC's as long as you have auto looter or resources collector activated your P.E.T will collect with in the range for its level and gears it as on board.

Most players will skip level 2 gears and protocols and wait till there P.E.T as reached level 8 and then buy level 3 gears and protocols as this is more economic and saves a lot of uri.

There are three levels of protocols and gear available to buy level 2 and 3 gear your P.E.T must first reach the level needed to buy them. When you buy higher level gears and protocols they do not replace your the ones that you have at a lower lever and level 2 and 3 gears and protocols are expensive, this is why most players use only level 1 pet equipment until there P.E.T as reached level 8 and then buy level 3 P.E.T equipment.

 

You can not "Upgrade" P.E.T. gears or protocols.

You can purchase for Uridium either level 1 level 2 or level 3 gear and protocols.

As already advised, it is "Best" for you to first level up your P.E.T. Put a lazer and a shield on it and go kill aliens/NPC. Be sure that your P.E.T is open/active when the alien/NPC dies.

Your P.E.T. will receive 5% of all Experience Points you make with your ship. (only if open/active)

Once you have leveled your P.E.T. to level 8. Purchase level 3 gear and protocols.

What gears and protocols you decide to use is up to you, many players who perhaps box allot will setup their P.E.T. to perform that way. Some players will use their P.E.T as a weapon in PVP battles therefore selecting gears and protocols for that type of performance.

I setup my P.E.T. to perform more towards killing alien/NPC and PVP than to loot and box.

Pet level 15.. 10 X LF4(upgraded lvl 16) ..17 X BO2.. Hit Points 197.6K..
Shields 185.6K
Pet Gear...all level 3..
Auto looter, Enemy locator, Rep, Cargo trader +30%, Kamakazi 75K, Combo ship repair,Auto Resource Collector
Pet Protocols all level 3 ..
Precision targeting +4%, Evasion +3%, Hitpoint +4%, Laser damage +4%, Alien damage +6%, Radar-x2, Bonus Box salvage +3%, Shield +4%​

It will take time to open slots on the P.E.T just remember this game is a marathon not a sprint, you want to sprint, open your wallet
