[GI] Using items in inventory

I got a new ship and cannot for the life of me use anything that's in my inventory ....

I click Inventory and it shows all my weapons and other items but will not show up in the ship menu inventory.

 

It sounds like you still have your items equipped to another ship, since items wont show as available to be equipped if they are equipped to another ship. Can you clarify if you unequipped your items from your other ship/s?

If you have try clearing your browser's cache/flash or using a different browser to see if you still can't see your items.

 

Yes I removed all equipment from the old ship and I even purchased a couple generators and a jump chip to equip on the new ship and they show up in my inventory but trying to get them to the ship, How ?

I even used another browser .. Still cant move anything from the inventory to the ship.

 

Are you using the single "click" and drag method or the "shift" "click" and drag method? The "shift" method allows you to select everything of one type (LF-3, LF-4, BO-2, etc) and equip every available piece to the proper open slot.

Is it giving you an ERROR when trying to equip the ship? "Can not equip to slot", try to reload Hangar and try again. If this does not fic the problem you may need to have SUPPORT look into the problem.

Did you make sure BOTH configs of the OLD ship were deleted? If any equipment is assigned to a ship (either config) it is unavailable to equip to another ship.

There has been a BUG that causes us to reload the Hangar any time we remove equipment from one ship to equip another, but it is corrected just by re-entering the Hangar from the back page. This is to allow you to see more available equipment if it is visible in the INVENTORY but not the equip-able inventory.

Let us know more details if these do not assist you.

 

It's best to delete both configurations of the ship or ships and then refresh the hanger page.

Above you see the cog just to the right of the 2 click that and confirm to delete configuration then repeat on both configs.

Go to your new ship and click "Manage". Your hanger will come up and now you can begin to install your equipment.

Either drag and drop each peace or use the shift select method.

What kind of ship did you get cause it sounds as simple as you got a ship design not a ship and you simply don't have the basic design needed to see the design you got?

 

No The ship I have is flying around and I'm using it.

The problem is that even some of the equipment I purchased is located along with other items in the main Inventory . The Inventory that shows up next to the SHIP is empty, I click the Inventory button above it to expand and there is all my stuff but HOW on this green earth do you get that into the inventory that's next to the ship where I can equip it.

Best to delete your configurations on all or any ships you have. Then start at beginning to load equipment. The ships are different but the method is the same.

I had deleted the setups in both a couple times but didn't make the second ship active before I did so.

It's working now, call me slow, call me old or just plane stupid.
