    New Techs

The techs are gained as rewards instead of via Skylab like usual. If a player receives one, it can be activated via hotbar in the tech section.

    Explosive Charging Blob (ECB)

The tech is only usable when the player has a target (only player ships are valid targets). If so, and the player activates the Explosive Charging Blob, a projectile is launched and attaches to the enemy. The enemy cannot remove the projectile by themselves.

The projectile can be thrown within a range of 600 (as a comparison: The LF-4 has a range of 600). If the player moves more than 900 range away from the enemy who has the projectile, then it will be disarmed.
[Screenshots attached showing an example of the range because it isn’t displayed within the game]
The Explosive Charging Blob lasts for 6 seconds and after they are up, the enemy gets 350,000 damage. A way to defend themselves is, that the enemy shoots back at the player during the 6 seconds and the damage that Explosive Charging Blob does will be reduced by the amount of damage that the player sustained. The damage reduction from received damage stops at 50,000 which means that no matter how much damage the player receives during those 6 seconds, the Explosive Charging Blob will always do a minimum of 50,000 damage.

If the player is using a cloak, it will be removed when the Explosive Charging Blob is activated. Additional cloaks that the player attempts to activate will automatically be removed until the Explosive Charging Blob has finished. It has a cooldown of 20 minutes.

    Burning Trail (BRT)

When the Burning Trail has been activated, it will remain active for 10 seconds. During the first 5 seconds, the player drops an object on their position once every second. These objects inflict 30,000 damage within a certain radius which only effects enemy players. If the damage areas of multiple objects overlap, the damage they do in the overlapping areas will stack. The objects remain on the maps until the 10 seconds of the tech are finished, then they disappear. These objects can neither be targeted nor destroyed.

The player who uses the tech will not be affected by their own Burning Trail and they see their own burning trail in a different color from other players’ burning trail.

Once the Burning Trail is finished, a cooldown of 20 minutes starts.

    NPC Nuke (NNK)

The NPC Nuke lasts for 60 seconds. When it is active, once every 10 seconds the players’ ship inflicts 100,000 damage on NPCs that are inside a certain area surrounding the ship. A timer above the players’ ship shows how long it is until the next Nuke will occur whilst the tech is active. The first damage is done when the tech is activated. After 60 seconds the NPC Nuke will go on a cooldown of 20 minutes.

Burning Trail - Very little, is way too easy to avoid by anyone following you (intended target/s)
Explosive charging blob - Again very easy for target to avoid ANY damage at all by simply moving out of range for a few seconds.
NPC Nuke - Sort of ok, was a little handy during last plutis event for the wave with all the small things coming at once but with 20 minute cooldown is pretty useless for daily game play.

Overall, 3 little gimmick techs someone at DO thought up that really have no use in day to day game play. Lack of imagination and any idea about game balance on the Dev teams part means there isn't much they can add to the game that will enhance or add interesting game play for all
