  1. There was a thread on bonus boxes.

    Hello _-Brute-_,
Thank you all for assisting the user with their concern. It may be part of the diminishing rewards system. Please remember there may appear to be less if you're in a map for an extended amount of time, considering others are in the map collecting at the same time. The more people in a map does effect the chance of you as an individual player collecting all the Uridium boxes.

My question is, what is the " diminishing rewards system".?
I apologize in advance if not posted in correct area.

If the system believes that somebody might be botting then the chance of receiving uridium from bonus boxes will decrease. There is then a cooldown time until bonus boxes return to normal.

Nobody really knows for sure how long the diminishing rewards system takes to activate or how long the cooldown is for it to turn off - it has changed a few times over the years since it was introduced though.

Hopefully a few people who collect a lot of boxes can give you a rough idea of the timings for it.

I ran a test and it works out about a hour before the uri and EE start to decrease. I used the timer on the don't attack a player for a hour mission and about 10 mins before the timer ran out both uri and EE became less frequent, I also tried this with a BB doubler and managed two hours before the decrease. I find if you mix boxing and NPC hunting the turn over tends to be better.

  5. Could it also mean that if you box for a specific map for a certain time and the uri/EE starts to decrease and you went to another map to box again, would the rate of getting Uri/EE become normal? And if you came back to the previous map at the moment the current map's Uri/EE rate went down again, would the rate be normal too?

I think that any timer would keep ticking down even when you jump maps, I have never tried a test jumping maps to see the results and it is only a theory as to the results of map jumping while boxing. I tend to always keep a NPC mission open and when the uri starts to dry up I do some NPC bashing the same as if I lose a cloak on a EMP mine or get an EMP burst of another player I wizz them to let them know I,m legit and start bashing NPC's for a hour. Another thing I do set my limit for the amount of uri I want to box and once I reach that I swap to NPC's unless I have a doubler running then I to get the most out of it as it is a cash item that as to in end effect have to pay its keep.

  7. It is my understanding the timer is running no matter what map you are in and the DIMINISHING starts when you have "X" amount of time where there is nothing except Bonus Boxes/Booty Chests collected during this time. I have always had my PET collecting B B's while I have been completing quests and do not seem to have seen any reduction in any B B collection being done, no matter how long I have allowed the PET to collect them, but again I am not collecting B B's unless I am in an area full of them and can collect while I am attacking the NPC's.

  8. I have started every day in this event with the do not kill for an hour mission.

During that hour, my first hour of the day, I may collect 2-3k uri and 10-15 gg spins.

My pet is set to give me 27% more of what ever I collect.

A year ago, I used to collect 5k uri and 40-50 gg spins an hour, quite easily, with the same set up I have now.

There may be some " diminishing rewards system" butt it should not effect my boxing in the first hour of the day.

Also, we the honest players, have been punished the same as and because of, the cheaters.

The uri amouints and the gg spins have been "NERFED".......period.......

  9. I can agree with the fact that the boxes are not as profitable as they used to be. Biggest issue is not the amount you can collect in an hour but the spawn rate of the boxes. Back when the servers were populated the spawn rate was much faster because they were being collected at a faster rate. Now with fewer players collecting them the rate is lower as they are sitting in the maps much longer, thus it seems the boxes have been "nerfed" this has nothing to do with the diminishing rewards that was brought up in this thread. When I was collecting 3-4 gens/LF-3 a day (no advantages) I was constantly stumbling over players trying to collect the same box I was trying to get, now I may never see another player trying to collect B B's in a map, therefore, forcing me to collect more of the garbage boxes that might have gone to other players instead.

There are many factors involved in the distribution/collection of Bonus Boxes and even though we all HATE the botters they did help to keep the B B's refreshed in the maps. The reduction of award from x-1 map because of your level helped the NEW players but the removal of the Uridium and E E spins has done nothing to assist these LOW level players, forcing them into x-2 maps to fight with all of the botters and chicken "boxers" is not an advantage for someone trying to better their ship/strength/game knowledge but has been a change made and players have got to accept it. The changes in attitude of company loyalty and UFE's attacking same company players forcing the NEW players to either Pay to Play or QUIT is the biggest mistake D O ever allowed to happen. If players had protections from the UFE/GANG attacks then there would be more players and the results would be different but they have allowed too many to leave the game in disgust to ever return to its days of glory (before the addition of the UFE equipment and standards.
