[GI] Will new expensive upgrade system be implemented?

I'm not sure if this is just for the test server for when the new update is released, a more expensive upgrade system will be implemented. My dilmena is if I can afford to wait for an upgrade hour, or I need to start ugprading now while the system hasn't been implemented. The price for upgrades with test server feature has skyrocketed and i'm f2p so I don't have the uri to waste. If I wait for upgrade hour I can reduce my uri cost by 25% and thus get 33% more upgrades but I risk allowing to the new expensive upgrade system to catch me off guard and If i'm caught off guard I could end up spending more uridium. If I start upgrading now, I can be sure I can upgrade very much before new system is implemented and I have no way to know if upgrade hours will continue after the update is live. I'm not sure if upgrading now without upgrade hour or upgrading after launch with upgrade hour is cheaper. Of course that's provided upgrade hours still exist.

 

I'd say upgrade now, because with all the good stuff DO has been doing for us lately, from my experience with them, were about to get a big punishment or "Weaning us off the nipple" as they'd call it. so yeah, by all means go for it while you still can; who knows, they might make us start paying money for upgrades.

That depends on what the update is. If it is something large like when they did the new UI it could take 6 months of testing, but something like this should be up by mid January i'd say.

most definitely. It's not gonna go live in dec unless they hire a new Dev team. you should expect it in mid jan or early feb

 

will there be upgrade hour this december?
If there is then I can wait for that and spend all my 200k uri on it.

 

Can someone tell me what is different with the upgrade system? I never got to check the test server out but is it true the upgrades are going to be even more expesive plz tell me it aint so bc if it is imma have to go in overdrive to finish my upgrades before this happens.

 

u wont spend 200k in one hour maybe 20k unless your just going to do 100% which is a waste or if u going to upgrade alot of things at onces with will just not help u at all.

When I was in Test2 I did not have the ability to choose a % for upgrades, they all had to be 100%. I think this is what had people in there crying foul and what the OP is all about. Could be wrong though.

nobody will need to buy uri. it's only 200k uri to max out a drone, laser or b02. that's hardly comparable to the 3mil uri it costs to max out a pet. even then you can make 30k uri an hour boxing easily. no need for buying uri or even upgraded equipment. just wait for upgrade hours get the 25% discounts and get the upgrade instantly at 100% with no chance of failing

 

I can upgrade a bo2 with 100k uri easily at the right time....200k to upgrade a bo2 on the new system? thats a rip off

 

that 200k uri is without upgrade hour, prem + rebate. that goes to 55% discount with prem + rebate during an upgrade hour

 

People start upgrading things before the get UFE... someone who hits 9k with x1 and doesnt have x3 or x4 isnt gonna make enough uri to upgrade..

 

no that's impossible if they do that then why upgrade people will stay without upgrades its hard enough doing it at 50% sucks alot of uri cant imagine 100% only its like omg seriously bad.
