[SC] battle stations -module time waiting

    why are we having to wait on changing the modules now when the base is built? before we could swap multilpe modules and now it is one at a time. why?

    bases are boring as it is to build them so why do that developers?

    Please give your reason for it and why it makes sense to do this now in your thinking .

    I was disheartened by the "Bug Fixes" this last Thursday. I would suggest DO allow you to switch out multiple modules only if the base is not under attack. It's very time consuming to switch modules after this update.

    I think they made it because if you were spamming new modules in base enough fast or just creating lag for server(click gg, uprage stuff at the same time), you could had bugged modules to be installed instant, and that bug also gave instant 50% of booster modules max value.

You have to take into account the fact that if they were to remove the time to build bases it would instantly allow players to constantly spam bases over and over again and it would basically just be one clan spamming bases over and over again, and if you want to build one then you have to pop the one that is already there, assuming someone else doesn't beat you to it lol.

    i was referring to when base is built and only being able to change one mod at a time .

    Also, as there is new weapons upgraded lf4 etc ..why hasnt the bases weapons been upgraded too to keep in line with the firepower?
     
  7. The main reason for the delay was already stated and it was to prevent people from destroying and rebuilding CBS's immediately after without some kind of fight for the Base. Now that the MCC's tend to OWN all of them it is really a mute point along with the issues being seen from them many people do not see the need to build them anymore.

    From my experience its not feasible to expect a player in enemy maps to sit there unnoticed for 30 minutes building bases let alone own maps.iv not heard any complaints from players to the status quo.

    Now in your infinate armchair wisdom you have in one stroke increased the waiting time and pain that goes with it and disincentivised me for one and others building the bases.

    Also those newer players who do not have strong ships or mods like to build said bases quickly, Now their enjoyment has gone as they cannot hang around for 30 mins fending off enemies.

    Well done you have created a problem where non exists and this decision as far as i know unilaterally taken with no consultation i know of is killing base building and the game.
    As a paying customer i view this as your Gerald Ratner moment you should encourage base building not discourage people like me who
    regularly build them and spend a shed load of money to upgrade mods.

    30 mins building bases your having a laugh if you think that decision enhances player enjoyment and unlike Developers i dont have the time for this nonsence looks good on paper in practice its pants !!!

    well it makes no sense to me now having to wait 3 mins per module and only being able to place 1 at a time ..
    your statements here of spamming bases is nonsical on the server i play on .
    what you have done is make it harder to keep a base .
    when infact you should be maker it harder to pop the bases !

    both these quotes make no sense at all especially hear me hear me now .. that comment is contradicting

  10. They increased the module load time to try to prevent clans from destroying the base and then rebuilding it for themselves, without having to fight to KEEP the rock. There have been too many times the base is destroyed and before anyone knows about it there is another being built by the clan that destroyed it. The longer wait time is now there to prevent them from being able to do this without being attacked for doing so. You are not required to sit there the entire time to load the modules, just place on leave and come back and place another. You just have to be the first Clan to place the last Module and hit the Build Button.

    The main point we are stating is were deterred from building bases in the first place who as a players stated the status quo needed changing ?.Fair play if a clan destroys my base and rebuilds it in there name they fight to get it we fight to regain it.

    Its a war game .Are you serious we go away come back over the 30 minute period in enemy maps ? hoping said enemy dont notice . lets put that in practice . 1 mod on fly away fly back 30 secs each way is anpther minute per mod . hey ho here comes another 10 minutes added to build base 40 mins .Example 2 . 5 mins to do something useful x 10 mods +50 mins totaling 80 mins.

    That will solve the problem as less bases will get built i fail to see logic in that plan .And as for clans spamming the more the better
    we pay for mods, well the clans that build the most have invested in them so why tie there hands behind there backs by dictating when and where they build them.

    As for enemies destroying bases then building there own, they earned that right as do any clan in any company and you do get a 30 minute warning when bases are up to retake it.

    Like everything in life adding time where its not needed especially in a fast paced war game isnt for the good of the game ask most here 30 mins if you stay or fly away for a minute 40 mins or fly away 5 mins 80 mins would they invest in mods or upgrade them or build as often as they did the logical conclusion is no .Waste of time doesent enhance anything.

    Thats really comforting if i fly off and back spend lets say 35 mins out of forty to find the base isnt mine have to say thats definately a game enhancer..

    Iv built countless bases adding time to a dreary process of base building is an idea dreamed up by i suspect those that dont actually build them much..Again great on paper bad in practice it needs rethinking as eveyone i know that builds a base now has second thoughts
    me included .Now im off to suggest to my local taxi firm could they extend the wait by 30 to 80 mins to enhance my enjoyment of that service.

    Hello AVIT,

    Thank you all for assisting the user with their concern. There were a few reasons for this new implemented module change time. As you are demanding an answer here are a few;
    • Prevent users from glitching modules(will not go into specifics, but you must know why.)
    • There were reports of lag in the maps due to some issues with CBS.

    Will leave it at that.

    Everyone is focused on server merges plus the additional tasks that they handle every day. Maybe once they have additional resources they can begin to implement/discuss new features.
