[SC] bots and there demise

when will we as real players see a removal of the botting players . as a player of this game for over 10 years i feel that something needs to be done to address the issue of the cheaters in game as it makes the game a bad time for us that are working on getting uufe and doing quests fighting against a botter for aliens is not making the game fun any more

 

you'll be waiting a long time for DO to remove the botr's, while they are getting revenue from them for premium, rebate and doublers, they will never get rid of them.

 

There will never, ever be a game free of cheaters.
As long as Darkorbit remains a Flash game, they will be unable to implement valuable programs made by other companies, nor design their own, to counter cheaters.

Note: Botters include as cheaters

 

I have doubts that even the death of flash will curtail botting. The cheats will just turn to other tools to get ahead. And DO will just keep slowly circling the drain, laden with broken promises and ongoing denial. I played back in 2007 when the party line was botting was just 'lag'.

Regarding Bots and Cheats, there is a dedicated thread where users can voice their concerns on these issues. Forums>Users' Corner>Speakers' Corner>Bots&Cheats. Please read through a few replies to get a brief idea of what everyone has in mind.

Bots and any third-party script will be detected by the scripts run by support, a process which is fair for everybody. From there any users who were detected shall receive the appropriate punishment. We Moderators/Admins assist the players in forums and within chat, the in-game element is left to Support and the Developers.
