[SC] Can i report someone for account share ?

    Hello ,
    (I had no idea where to put this question so why not here lol) i got few proofs that one players has shared account, with two owners and as far as i know thats illegal right ? So can i actually report him to support or not ? Thanks for answers !

    If you have actual proof (video recording) then you might be able to submit this. Issue is if the account is not having multiple IP addresses showing in the login log then it may not be dealt with and the worse Support can say is that they have to allow their "system" find them. Account sharing/selling is a common item and even though is against the rules is not as bad as all of the botting programs that are still running rampant in the orbit.

    They could also be travelling and using Internet Cafe's to play the game. the easiest way to detect a shared account is when an IP Address is moving hundreds of miles away in just minutes. There was another thread that hit on people using an IP Address randomizer which made it so the computer was not trackable, it also made it look like it was an account being shared by several people and how it could be construed as being in violation of game rules.

    Usually D O does take into consideration people using more than one computer/device and location but within reason. Usually accounts are caught by the chat moderators and the monitoring system when people start bragging about their NEW UFE account or people recognize the name but the person playing does not know them even though they are friends of the actual player.

    Yes, you can report the account(I guess it would be name+server) to the support and they should be looking into it... but the action itself again is pretty hard to prove, one might be playing from work and home so that would give the exact number of 2 IP addresses... it's kinda something that can't be really stopped in this game.
