[SC] Fairness & The UBA

    I'm wondering how it is fair?

    Let me elaborate: I am flying a leo with all lf3 and 2 iris only, no havocs, no hercs.

    I decide to try out this UBA and I am matched with a ship that has all 10 drones all Havocs and yes a PET. I am lvl 11 and I near positive that my opponent was much more.

    So I decided to try this once again and yes again I was matched to a full 10 drone full havoc an full herc player. Heck I think his pet took me out.

    Well I can tell you I will not waist my time trying that again.

    I had thought at one time perhaps spend a few $$ and try build up a bit but from what I see on the maps and in this UBA I can tell you I'm surely not spending a dime. I'm actually thinking this game is not for me, perhaps I should search the net for a better game.

    Yeah UBA is really only worth doing if you are UFE or near to it.

    Your opponents are given to you based on similar equipment on the users ship, nobody really knows exactly how its calculated. However obviously your equipment was nothing like your opponents, so something has gone wrong, right?
    Not exactly, big problem with doing UBA with a ship like yours is that there will not be other opponents searching for a match who have similar equipment to you, at the same time you are searching. So the system has to give you a ship that is much different to yours, which ends up being a much stronger opponent.
    So it's not really the systems fault, its just there's nobody 'fair' for you to actually fight.

    If you want to get the best out of UBA you are better off waiting until your ship has the likes of 10 drones, drone designs, plenty of LF-4 etc.

    chief major some what over powering againest small fry lol very one sided had 4 different chief majors in a row.... on my nooby was hoping to hold to 50 place but... lol na

    Hmm perhaps they need to create a lower level UBA but that would be redundant considering they can't get the normal UBA working correctly.
