I know this might actually be considered a pretty dumb question, but... in how much time could you be able to get like 2.5 billion exp? With ~4h of gaming/day(sometimes a bit more or less) and how should you do it... I mean how do top players get their exp? With no more quests, it's just Alpha, Beta and Gamma right? I haven't really been interested in this rank/top side but I am pretty curious now. If someone could please come with an answer like: "x" much uri to open the gates bla bla + how many gates you should actually do(and can do with an acceptable sum of uri, and discount ofc) and please don't count in the 50% exp boosters or cbs boosters. And just explain it for A B Y gates, not others. Thanks in advance.

There's 2 ways, the first is ABG as you've mentioned is common, especially on discount days - you can break even on uri spent or make a profit, so lots of 'top' players bash those gates for the uridium or honour, the EP will be a bonus.

However the best way to gain EP quick is solo cubes and LOTS of them. If you were UFE on a small server then 4 hours of non-stop cubes could get you roughly 50~ cubes an hour - that does involve ideal conditions and jumping into enemy maps to kill cubes whilst your own are still respawning.

Now if you play 4 hours a day and not wanting to count in boosters, 2.5bil will take you quite a while. The people who are really gunning for huge EP gains reset their pilot bio for 'Tactics', buy the 50% booster and just grind out as many cubes as possible. With that setup its 1mil EP per cube and 300~ mil EP in a day isn't too difficult to accomplish with free time on a small server for those players.

In your situation I would advise cubes for uridium then spend the uridium in GG on discount days, that way your making decent EP all whilst keeping yourself stocked up on x4 and uridium. As for how long it would take you, really hard to guess not knowing how active your server is or what your ship is like but I would say somewhere in the region of 6 to 8 weeks.
Cost wise, if you have rebate and stick to using every x2 multiplier in the GG spinner they in theory you should not be losing uridium on the discount days. However it is advisable to keep a stockpile of ~500,000 U. just for when ABG are all starting on near to 0 parts when you build.

Worth having a look through the bigger quests too, some of them give pretty big EP rewards for relativity little work. If you haven't completed many of them then they are the best route to go down, will be quicker than gates or cubes.

Ok so I should've been more detailed but you provided a very satisfying answer. On my server I can't really cube between the periods of time when I usually play on a daily basis(GE2). Yes, I am UFE(lol and I don't know how to get into the top right? well, no), I can count in 20% boosters + veteran design + 5% from drone formation when finishing gates or 8% for aliens. I mostly finished all of the good quests and I would like to know if you can cycle the ABY gates.. like opening then getting the reward to keep opening and so on(getting uri if that's necessary is not such a big deal-without cubes even- but I will try cubing too when I'll find my time and the maps free, I've done gates only with EE and a bit of uri when needed lol) and like how much uri you would need for the start. 6-8 weeks? well, that's a lot better than I thought would be. Thanks.

Yeah cubes are definitely the easiest way to make EP, IF you can get them solo, but that's a big if given the server you play is quite populated compared to most.

You can indeed just cycle through ABG. Right now with each GG spin costing 40 U., you can make good profits from it. Without the discount you will slowly lose uridium.
The best way to build ABG is to spin in 1s (or 5s if its taking too long) and you need to use every x2 multiplier. Once you get 2 of the same gate built then stop building and just complete all the ABG you have ready.

Hmm, now as for a idea of cost, I'm a bit clueless on how much the ABG cost over a period of time. So I'm going to have to figure it out through an odd route x)

The only figures I clearly remember that were from non-discount days was that a net loss of 700,000 U. gave me 2.4 mil x4 - I remeber it because I was out of x4 and wanted to try and get 2.5m but fell short after the honour booster had ended.
If we assume the ratio of ABG is roughly 29:10:6 (this is based off the number of parts per GG and how many Alpha / Beta would be completed per Gamma, rounded up to whole numbers) then 2,400,000 x4 was around 52 Alpha, 18 Beta and 11 Gamma.
Which works out at just a 8,640 U. loss per gate overall, of course counting in the GG uri that was put back into building more gates.

If we look at 52 Alpha, 18 Beta and 11 Gamma in terms of EP with the boosters you would be working with that's roughly 900,000,000 EP (A = 396,354,816 / B = 274,399,488 / G = 251,532,864). The figure is probably lower depending on how the EP boosters stack for the rewards in GG.
So 900M EP across 700k U. is about 1.3k uri per 1mil EP from those GG, which means 2.5B would be costing you around 3,250,000 U.

All the calculations are very much in rough but hopefully it gives you an idea of how much the cost would be to get 2.5B purely through GG with the boosters you mentioned. If someone turns up with a better example where theyre not having to work it out backwards from how much x4 was made then convert it into GG completed etc, then you are much better off going with their example I think.

However this is based on all gates not being done in discount days. You can easily avoid spending that much if you wait for the discount days or see if you can get some uridium from cubes inbetween.

  5. Expanding on what the sage Okapi has said.... if you're spinning up a bunch of gates, you are going to have a pretty good surplus of x3, SAB and various rockets. You're probably also going to get rather bored of crushing gates. Buy a bunch of credit hellstorm rockets and search through the quests for the ones that require pirate map npcs (interceptors, barracudas, sabateurs, annihilators, battlerays). Go a bit heavy on the shields and fly into 5-2. Depending on the server, you should be able to spend hours there without seeing another player. Use the booty keys from the kappa and zeta gates when you have a chance. Get the 50% xp booster when you are getting close to finishing the quest. If you are friendly with a clan that has a few CBSs, see if you can join and put some xp modules on it. Get both the xp boosters from the shop. Use the surgeon ship. Use the bat formation on the NPCs and when you are close to finishing a quest, switch to the barrage formation (barrage multiplies quest and gate rewards, bat does not). Have the xp bonuses in the bio. Doing all of that and the quests that should pay out 75 million xp can exceed 150 million

Pirates quests are all done :D. That's why I wanted to know a little bit more about gates(which I will start bashing), thx for the answer(pirate maps are also full-5-2 and 5-3 at least).
Well, you've helped me a lot ore than I was asking for, this is what I wanted.. some numbers, as a reference, because theoretically I pretty much know how some people do it but I thought it may be a lot harder(700k uri is nothing.. and that would turn into ~400k with the sales.. I'm gonna just try completing 150 Alpha gates + the Betas and Gammas which come along.. ant that should help me get close at least, if not actually getting the xp that I asked for. Thank you a lot for your time and good answers.
