What follows is just Ver Very Sad truth only

Today on discord asked a question how and who should i let know about possible bot user. Slowly all discusions about it grew. To the point that quite a few players admited using the bots and other sort of programs. (Some even free).

At that point my feeling about the game i love and play and PAY. Sank to the bottom of my feet.
Maybe even to the ground and middle of the earth.

As even if i spent countless hours and a lot of money. Even recently.

Really considering to just stop.

Got the feeling that attitude to using such bot and programs is not just OK. But fine no problem.
Its like a part of DO for them. All cool.

Shame it does not sit well with me.

Love nice, polite, smart, honest, intellingent and not so. Love all sort of people, no matter the race or gender. Or even beliefs.

But I am not able to handle this. Cheats, botters or whatever you may call it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Dark Orbit staff who still care of this game.
Do more about it.

played this game for a long time. DO doesn't care. players have ask about Cheats a million times.
live with it or move on. i pay to play. players abuse this game and it is ok with DO. I gust have fun with my fiends here.
I'm not in a mmc and don't cheat yes some times this game sucks so does life.

 

on my server 2 genarals are botting their way up , cought them many times npc botting ...


im almost at the point to join them ...

darkorbit is like a bank , they support both sides of the war ..for them its all about the money

 

I there, i belong to the bot defending crew (if you want to call it that). What exactly makes you feel so frustrated about them? Look some people just got tired of p2w and that crappy chance system and started to do that. I see no reason why shoud you blame botters for unfair gameplay instead of BP. I get that thing about rank but seriously just look at the game... Do you think BP deserves any consideration from you? They dont even play the game and most of their updates are centered in money farming.

 

When servers were full and many people were PAYING for things they worked hard to remove the cheaters to help keep the game balanced. With the advent of the UFE many WALLETS left the game as they felt they had paid enough to the game to be at the top of the heap, to find they were going to have to PAY even more to maintain their Top Spot. This created the need to subsidize the monies spent on the game (unless you were RICH) and thus the WALLETS buy Premium, Rebate, and Doubler so they can run whatever program they want to get the most out of the game. Some Box for Uridium and GG Spins, some Pally all day long to exchange for GG Spins, some (like me have issue trying to get lock on targets) but instead of living with the issue buy the auto-locker cheat, while others don't like doing the gates and bought the NPC Program. As these are all PAID programs who says they are not legal? I know when I first started there were rumors of where these came from and is why so many reports were ignored. Now they do not even allow us to report the players we see and remove even fewer as the result would be a further deficit to the already depleted coffers of cash this game is supposed to have.

I too do not LIKE that I am working hard for everything I get from D O, and have been tempted to find and use some of these cheats, but still have maintained my accounts as being my own efforts without the need to supplement what I have by going down this avenue. Yes I have had to open my wallet to buy some Uridium to try to keep up with the advances in the game (but not to the point where I can be UFE) my US3 account (the baby) needs PET slots and stuff to fill them (about $200 worth) but I can't afford it so I suffer.

 

Getting a degree done is very hard/expensive/time consuming.... so u cheat?... No, u dont.... dont make excuses about you cheating...and dont blame it on BP.

 

Getting a degree is real life and it is an investment in it, this game is not. And yes I blame BP for ruining the game.

 

This is also an investment, and u get fun from this investment, u want to have fun without investing anything, so u cheat....Don't blame on Bp that ure lazy. Botters bot because they are too lazy to do anything for themselves, and i have no problem with that, they just need to admit that they are lazy, but dont go around saying "blahblahblah... i bot because of him/her/it...its never my fault....i do this because of them..."

 

Pretty much what batata said at post #15 except that most people use the LoW bugs.
Honestly, I'm not sure why this thread has so many responses since the OP isn't asking something and didn't open the thread for discussion. But I'm honestly sad to see some people think that just because someone defends the botters they are botters themselves. It's alright if you hate them; but nobody wants to play several thousands of hours for a game they might not enjoy.

This is not the Bots&Cheats discussion thread, further inputs about bots/cheats will lead to an unfortunate closing of the thread. We are sorry to hear you feel this way ATEER.

 

If you follow the Twitch feeds, you will see they are trying to come up with a fix for the issues. I personally believe they care, a lot, but with so many changes of personnel a lot of knowledge about the administration side of the game has been lost. It is the same with the bugs in the game. Nobody on the team is the same from... 11 years ago, not to mention when the game was Uridium wars. The more I play, the more I want to take coding classes so I can maybe apply to help fix the issues that plague us. I wish I had taken classes years ago. In the end, I have learned to keep moving forward. Like all things, even real life, there are obstacles to be worked out and around.

 

Some play the game for fun and consider it cheap entertainment. Others want to be #1 so they do whatever it takes, either spend $ or bot. I couldnt care less about rank and probably could have bought a nice real car for what I have spent on DO, and botting would be pointless for me, why waste boosters letting my ship fly AFK?

If you dont get caught up in being a rank whore the game can still be enjoyable.

 

also a sad piece of information as long the 3rd party program is approved by darkorbit there really isnt nothing you can do lol

 

Hi Ateer, I'm just like you, i understand that making hard work to get some uri or other kind of stuff without using boting programs
is becoming very frustrating, regarding the other players who are actually boting.
I think that it's the DO policy's fatality. Using bot is a response to too many pay to win, and to the UFE. As we know, Ranking points are not that interesting than before. No difference between a 'regular chief captain' and a 'cheater 1-2 stars colonel' into a duel, just because they are bots users spending, their uri in thousands of hades gates and honor boosters.

But at the end, this is how the game is today. Can you think about the maps without the bots users? It will be more sad than ever.

So I think it is still possible to have fun IG. Make a battle-station with a 2-3 players group, invade a map, take the duels and shot the bot users (They know that boting involve the risk to be shot 10 times a day)! I'm lucky. My server is still active, specially during the weekend.
But everybody is different: boting to farm Hades gates and keep your rank high, or be a player that just enjoy pvp, wars and team-play like the old times, or a player that helps newbies. You just need to accept this, and have fun again on this game.

Don't change! if you are uncomfortable with the idea of cheating (I'm like you), but don't loose hope.
I'm still hoping that DO will bring a kind of a "new gameplay" next year, if they are now telling the truth about MCC,
events, server merge.
