[TI] FIX GE1!

Enough is enough, this issue has been around for 3 months now and nothin has been done! The lag on GE1 is unbearable! Don't belive me? Login at 7:00pm GMT and see for yourself.

Mods, at least let support or whoever is running these servers know.

I haven't been able to play this game for 2 months now (1 month I didn't want to play cause I got bored). I was unable to play the halloween gate due to the horrendous lag, and now I can't even play the cold gates...

This isn't just happening to me so don't think it's a problem with my network, computer, router, etc.

Support & the dev team are already well aware. Alongside support we have been badgering the dev team with it every week, and probably at least a few times a week between all the language teams

Right now they have people working on it, and the most recent update we have is that it seems to go beyond the code - so whatever the issue is sounds like it isn't something they can just roll out a hotfix for.

I know it is far beyond less than optimal, and anything less than it being fixed isn't going to really make people happy, but for now this is the information we have & we have to continue to ask your patience awhile longer.

Give Dark Orbit time, if it is beyond the code its 1 of 2 things, the network cant handle the data or there servers are old and need new hardware, that will take work transferring it all onto new hardware without losing data or having corrupt data, the answer you have given us Solid_Eye is plenty enough for now as its some sort of answer, better than "we are working on it." Servers are not cheap to upgrade and are a pain and the butt to transfer files too when its as large as a 10 year old game. Every player isn't alone with the frustration so i call to all players please just be patient, our amazing game isn't gone yet, they are trying to make this game into something with longevity to it, the fact its lived this long is a miracle. Most games have a 1-3 year life span, not 10 years. I feel like 2017 this game will turn around and be better and bigger than ever before they just need to fix the server issues which they are working on at the same time as keep us interested and happy as much as possible. That's a lot of work, and even i am guilty of getting belligerent and angry with the mods and developers and support, and that is just wrong of me i work in retail i know better. So please all players just be patient and help wherever you can if its in game or in forums or discord just pass it along and maybe with everyone being calm and not badgering the development team they will get it done, but we aren't helping by relentlessly getting angry and yelling at them it gets nothing done.

Every day, the last few months, the lag is horrible every afternoon, it is impossible to play.
Please try to somehow increase bandwidth on GE1 server, even if it mean increasing the cost of uridium.
I play this game more then 6 years and i don't want to quit, but I am forced to.

It has been over 3 months though! This is way more than enough, many people (including myself) have moved onto other ('better') games and there are probably more people leaving as time progresses... It needs to happen sooner and fast!

To me it doesn't sound as this is a priority to DO but it should be, considering DO's birthday, the demaner event etc.

 

I know that the forums is place where players come to get answers. We here on the forums team are fully aware that this particular issue is very frustrating. We are not disregarding this issue by any means... Solid Eye has posted that they are aware of the issue and the problem is more than an easy fix. We are not attempting to candy coat the problem, but we can only offer the information we have on this matter.

I am curious - after all that time DO has failed to fix the problem and have made it hard for players to keep up do they plan to give us some compensations for our troubles? At the moment we have headaches about it, you have headaches about it. Lets say the problem is fixed next week, people come back to play and put money on the game again and BP wins after all that trouble. And what about the players? Do we get anything?

 

At this point I would be very surprised if nothing came after all this - however they do not discuss compensation for issues until they are resolved so until this is fixed I highly doubt we will have much word on what might happen as far as compensation goes

Ok, I give you another month to resolve the problem.
After that, if the problem is still here, i come with my goliath with boosters, x4, RSB and smart bombs to destroy your base

 

Players really are hungry for promisses, i'm not even bothering my self to create any threads since it is allways the same answer "we are working on that" doesn't matter how long and how smart that answer is it is allways the same result

 

i just dont understand why do we have to expiriance lags just couz they are to lazy to make serverrestarts ... they should atlest try that ... couz how is the server fixed after 4 p.m. in the morrning after server restart ... ? lets say if there is server restart every 8 or 12h that could be temporary fix untill they find perma fix for the problem ... it is just unplayable ...

 

We've been advised that server restarts were tried & not as successful as people expected and/or hoped
ie - just because things are better after the morning restart & it lasts awhile doesn't mean the effect is the same at different hours

how the hell is ge1 going to cope with this cross server thingi? thank god ime on gb1 smooth as a babies bottom no lag for me wots so ever

 

It took them 1 year in past to repair ranks on VRU, how long do you think it will took them to repair this?
I am thinking about 4 years at least.

Couldn't play Tunnel of Terror, couldn't do birthday gates. They better put those gates back on after they solve it and give everyone at least 3 month premium and other things. I bought premium when the Tunnel was on and guess what? Couldn't even play thx to the lags. Took me 15 minutes to finish the first wave. And 13 of it was lags!

 

I heard the GE1 is still not functioning properly. I have checked and General Electric 1 is functioning as expected. Global Europe on the other hand ... the warranty has expired (Meant to make you Smile). We are working to get this matter resolved.

Now that's the spirit, everything is easier with a bit of humor, now we are willing to wait another year for GE1 fix.

Hello Everyone,

A fix was implemented a few hours ago to make the server run more smoothly under high stress through the sync. Please let us know if the heavy lag still lingers, might log in later onto GE1. Hope to see you all.
