[TI] Rank Points changes

Why is my Rank Points changes everytime i log into the game? i log in just about everyday and always look at my rank points but lately i notice that the rank points i need to exceed to the next Rank keeps on changing. i dont understand why is that. i started wonderring why i havent ranked up yet and i just notice that my Rank points changes it keeps on goin higher and higher or farther to reach just about everyday that i log into the game. can someone plz xplain this to me ?

It could be from people changing companies, As part of the rank system goes by how many play in your company. You also have to overtake the lowest person ahead of you to move up to the next rank. Honor is a big part, ship kills etc.

 

As stated above, the ranking system is a dynamic one - players earn and lose ranking points all the time (be it by shooting npcs, gate bashing, switching companies etc) and as each company can only have a limited number of people per any given rank (based on the total number of players in that company) the ranking points you need to reach a certain rank may fluctuate as they are being re-evaluated on a daily basis

 

There can only be a specific percentage of users in a company having a specific rank

1 General (Max. 1 per company)
2 Basic General (0.01%)
3 Chief Colonel (0.10%)
4 Colonel (0.50 %)
5 Basic Colonel (1.00%)
6 Chief Major (1.50%)
7 Major (2.00%)
8 Basic Major (2.50%)
9 Chief Captain (3.00%)
10 Captain (3.50%)
11 Basic Captain (4.00%)
12 Chief Lieutenant (4.50%)
13 Lieutenant (5.00%)
14 Basic Lieutenant (6.00%)
15 Chief Sergeant (7.00%)
16 Sergeant (8.00%)
17 Basic Sergeant (9.00%)
18 Chief Space Pilot (10.0%)
19 Space Pilot (12.39%)
20 Basic Space Pilot (20.00%)

correct any if i'm wrong. 2 years ago before i quit i have near enough a chief major, came back to only a chief captain my point is they always reset everyday due to people changing companies and getting more points. You will only get a better rank by surpassing the last guy that has the rank above. Ranks will always shift buddy.

Thank you all for assisting the user with their concern. While you are working on rank points so is everyone else. You will only climb to the next rank if you pass the people in front of you which means you will need to add rank points faster than the next person. To increase your Badge Rank more efficiently, bonuses to Honor will have the greatest influence. Did not know this myself ages ago when I began and switching companies got me stuck at Major to this day.

Another note to remember is that Ranks are based on a percentage of the active players in your company. Gates are a good rank point earner as stated above if you are not much of a PvP player which gives great rank points per kill. Another helpful thing might be to group up with other users and just bash npc's. Enjoy and best of luck
