Why is it showing that my ship only has 12 Shield Generators, when I actually have 15 on my ship?

There is a Glitch that is causing some issues with it showing properly. Try removing them and re-assigning them to the Ship. You can do this quickly by using the "CTRL" key and clicking the Shield Generator on the Ship to remove and do the same thing in the Inventory to apply to the Ship.

You may even have to do the NORMAL computer clearing/deleting as there have been some programming changes recently.

Tried that and it didn't work..How do I do the NORMAL computer clearing/deleting?

 

This is a two-step process.
First part is clearing browsing history and cache. Procedure differs slightly depending on the browser you are using but usually you have to open Settings, search for Privacy and Security and from there delete browsing data (cookies, history, cache).
Second part is cleaning Flash Cache, which is described in this FAQ.
Some would suggest clearing Java cache as well, but I rarely did that in the past and now don't even have Java installed on a new system.

 

Some browsers allow you to clear the history just by opening the History page from the menu. Java was needed for the Chat way back when and may still be needed when they update it.

You may even go as far as to reset your modem/router and restart your computer.

 

Tried all the above and nothing worked. There's even some ships that say 0 Shield Generators when there are actually 15. Tried removing and re-installing stuff and the problem is still there.

Go to in-game and switch your configs, because depending of the configs you have left in the map as active, that will be shown in this. It counts the generators in drones as well.
