[TI] Technical Issues In Game

  1. Okay so some of the problems seen since the April 1st "Visual Update" and compounded by the A.S. Launch;
    • PET Lagging and not being able to cover as much of the map as it used to.
    • Entire Game LAGGING to a FROZEN state (remove AJP and you might get rid of issue)
    • PET Protocols not working
    • Cargo Boxes/Resources not being dropped by NPC's
    • Galaxy Gate Rewards not being Awarded as they are supposed to
    • CBS Modules disappearing, inability to build CBS
    • Chat not Connecting/working
    • Drone Formations Changing when jumping thru Portal
    • Connectivity Issues losing connections
    Please inform me of others I have not listed and I will edit this post.

    Now they are going to add the >Hangar System< without making the proper corrections to the game and thus going to make it even harder to play the game. Making changes EVERY MONTH without verifying the update is not going to create further issues is just not right. I understand changes and improvements are required, but at the detriment of the enjoyment of the GAME is this progress(?) or just insanity(?), after watching the TWITCH feed and the difficulties shown navigating there I hate to see what types of problems are going to be generated when we have 50 Hangars for our ships to be in with 10 of these our "FAVORITE" ships that can be warped into.

    Questions to be asked are;

    • We own multiple BASE Ships to allow for designs to be used and now we can only own ONE what is the credit for the reduction of OUR BOUGHT Ship going to be?
    • Are Ships "Parked" on maps like they are now or is changing Hangar moving ship to most recent location?
    • Changing Ships (Transferring Configs) this is only to same Ship Config and does not include SPECIAL Designs with extra slots, Why?
    Please ask your questions I have not thought of and I will update the list.

    This is assuming that we are not going to fill the game with further issues and cause even more people to sit on the sidelines waiting for the game to become playable again, or worse even, go play more enjoyable games leaving D O in their dust.

  2. There is the disconnect between forums and the Dev's. The same goes for Support and the Dev's, and TS and the Dev's. There seems to be a disconnect when it comes to the Dev's understanding what issues are. I know we are told they are informed but when we see the twitch, they act as though it is either news to them or they don't understand what we are talking about. I speak a lot of QC playing the game in order to understand if things are working or not, but I think the Devs need to do the same. They leave it to the players to find the issues when they should take time to do the same as they write code. Five minutes of playing will tell you a lot about a new feature but 3 hours of play will tell the writer even more. They could spend however long writing a new update and then spend a day playing. Also when they spend the day playing, it should be over an internet connection, and not internal lan to the server. Only then will they get a true experience to the problems we face. Its not a total fix as some issues seem to be only on one side of the Atlantic or another but its all I got for now.

    Hello HelpMeHelpYou,

    Just a few things to point out regarding the reported bugs/glitches and Newly asked Questions. The April Fools joke was just that a "joke" with the Visual Upgrade, which users could have switched off by going to the Settings cog>DisplaySettings>Uncheck "turn game into retro mode". Server restart should have restored everything back to the way it was. Not breaking the game.

    Most of the Issues reported on this thread have been either Reported, Resolved or Pending further Investigation.

    Could be an issue with the Pet Radar Protocols. Please be aware the Pet will not collect off-screen if the user's ship is parked.

    As stated, removing the AJP should have resolved the Lag-Issue. For any users who still have the lingering effects of Lag we ask for them to please Clear Cache/Flash and to re-log into the game.

    The team is aware and looking into this as there are a few thread's and posts already regarding thes issues which has been passed up. These issues including CBS Modules disappearing have been Confirmed by Support and have been passed onto Q&A/Developers awaiting to be fixed and are being looked into.

    Hades NPC' issues should have been resolved at this point.

    If the Issue still persists after Clearing Cache, including Flash and Java caches, tried using different browsers and Ensured your Flash and Java players are up to date, We ask that users please Contact Support with their Ship Name/ UserID and which server they play on and are experiencing the issue on.

    Moving onto your Questions to be asked here;

    As stated in the FAQ' there will be Compensation with this raised concern. Should you own multiple “basic” Goliath, Aegis, etc. ships, on the transition day, we will reimburse the 2nd, 3rd, etc. basic ship.

    Currently unaware of this, we'll have to wait and find out.

    Special designs like Pusat & Surgeon are being looked into.
