The bug in the scrolling of the log at the top of the playing screen is hiding other bugs in the game. I went to collect a "Booty Box" and while I was doing it I came under attack from several aliens. I killed most of them off and then ran off to safety to lick my wounds. I checked the log window and saw that whatever I may have collected had already scrolled off the window. I waited to see what rewards I got from the box on the game screen as I expected there to be the lag that has been happening recently and waited it out to see what I had collected. When the scrolling stopped I had not seen what I was waiting for. I went to the log on the back page and could not find any mention of the rewards there either from the time I earned the booty key to the last entry. I was robbed!

It would be nice if the log screen had a much larger buffer so we could scroll back a lot further. It is bad enough when doing a batch of daily quests to have to check the log window to see which one was actually completed. I know there was a previous thread concerning this lag issue (which I cannot now find) in which someone said that the workaround was to make the screen windows transparent and I tried that. I am old and my eyes are not too good and when I tried this I found myself clicking on things that were showing on the screen that were obscured by the windows and often closed things I did not intend to. It was not acceptable as a solution.

This lag issue started when a bunch of new features were recently added. I dearly wish they had been tested properly on one of the test servers before they were inflicted on everyone. Unfortunately, those seem only there to test new concepts and features and not to see how they interfere with existing ones.

It would be nice if DO actually fixed all the known existing bugs in the game before writing new ones! Players get punished for exploiting bugs in the game that they use to their advantage, but they also suffer the consequences of bugs that that the programmers create to the disadvantage of the players.

I would like it if this thread is not closed until this one problem is fixed. When will this log scrolling problem get some attention or will it be sometime in the third or fourth month or year since it was first reported?

    Hello space_case,

Bug's are always being reported and we are keeping up to date on these things. We do volunteer our time and do not always have the availability of a PC to log into the forums to post about these known issues. We understand your frustration with Events and diversions being released before some bugs/glitches being resolved, but there are always minor and major bugs being fixed each week that go unnoticed by the players when Support/Developers do a weekly sync or Server restart. Back to the "Noticeable Bugs", as stated above these are reported and do get updated.

Yes this issue has been reported. It's been like this for a while now, but there are much more major bugs to be fixed before the Development Tech team tackles the minor severity issues. We do appreciate your patience while these issues get resolved. As stated above the Intex Log seems to be working better at keeping up to date notifications instead of the on screen notification log. For further log book entries we ask that you please check the Uridium balance/Log tab on the back page.

Closing as answered exhausted subject. Pending fix date.

    Take Care.
