    would like to suggest an idea to support, seems your bot detection script isn't working very well, my suggestion is that you allow several trusted old school players, to travel the maps looking for bots in use.... last night alone in 3-7, it was me and 4 bots in the map, they all followed the same patterns and characteristics, sure I killed them several times, but I also lost ALOT of honor in doing so.

    The integrity of the game is very important to me, I have earned everything I have gotten on this account, unfortunately integrity isn't important to other players.

    Now I know the typical response will be you have your detection methods, but obviously, it needs help.

    It is not that simple, I'm sure it is not just a question of reliably banning actual botters but also actually having evidence that they are using a bot program. Cause while it is easy to reliably tell if someone is botting, it is not easy to get evidence of bot use by a player(other than that they are "acting" like a bot).

    Hence why Bigpoint rely so much on their anti bot script, other than to reliably ban bots but also for legal reasons. As in so the players who use bots don't have much ground to argue when banned, since there is evidence that they bot.

    Although with that being said, I do think they need to start getting more creative with how to combat bots. Like say more game mechanics/features that mess with how bots work, for example a lot of bots just run when they see a player on the map.

    Maybe they could make "fake" cloaked players fly around the maps and just stalk any player that runs away from them...

    Killing Bots will only disrupt the Bot detection script allowing Bots to slip through the net, it as been said so many times to leave the Botters so that the detection script can do its work.

    Hello drwakko,

    Thank you both for assisting the user. We understand your concern with this issue as we too are regular players, however there are very firm instructions that those users must be left to be detected by the scripts run by Support, a process which is fair for everybody. The main reasons for this is;

    a) Support scripts provide a fair single playing field.
    b) Reports/evidence is not always conclusive and can be deemed unreliable.
    c) The volume of reports/bans would be unmanageable unlike a script which can do all the work.

    Closing as answered,

    Take care.
