[UI] Color custom drone symbols

can we get color custom drone symbols no matter the drone designs we use?

If it's a Question: No

If it's an Idea: No, the color of the symbol tells us what drone design someone is using. It's useful information we rely on.

 

why not i think its a pretty cool idea. i like it i think it should become part of the game.

 

I think the Sparts should have been purple as making them orange on the display can be a bit confusing as the epic demon's are also orange but slightly lighter in colour. After all hercs are blue, havocs red, so it made sense for the sparts to be purple

 

They should make the Spartans Green. Stop leaving VRU out of the mix....

To clarify, the drone color scheme is for the stat drones.

 

what information does provide lol? Either way you will lose or win color doesnt matter. But it matters in turm of good looking,matching and sexines

 

Color gives you an idea of what your up against. But I agree with NightStalker. The outcome does not fully depend on which drones you have. There is nothing there that tells how many lasers you have, or what ammo you are using, so why do we really have any stat information for drones given?

 

Only stat drone designs that boost stats, give a colour to the drone symbols as already has been said. Add in colour for just cosmetic reasons, then it gets rid/messes with the main reason for that colour: Shows what stat drone designs someone is using, so can tell if they have boosted damage, shield etc from them.*

An somewhat exagerated example to compare it to: say someone wanted a design for the Goliath ship, that made it look like a Pusat. That of course more so would cause all sorts of problems, especially in being able to know what ship you're actually up against/looking at.


If see someone using the Goliath Bastion ship and Hercule stat drone designs(Blue), you can obviously tell they're likely focusing on their shield somewhat. That or they're just using it for the looks, regardless of any disadvantages it causes. At least I personally would rather things that give an idea of what "boosted stats" someone has, weren't messed with lol.

*When look at that colour plus the ship they're using, ammo(say Sab/CBO) and drone formations etc - it can start to give a better idea how much they are focusing on: damage output, HP or shield. (there's such a thing as too much information, how many lasers/shields someone has is a strategical thing. if game just straight told you, it for example would straight away ruin glass cannon surprises or high shield focused ships)

 

There's quite a bit of information from knowing what drone designs are being used. But not everyone will have the intellectual prowess to figure it out lmao.
