[UI] Gameplay suggestions

  1. Several ideas occurred to me and I realised that pretty much everything I suggested has been either liked by the staff and developers, or it's been actually added to the game (the massive log-in bonus being one of those things) so I'm back with some more ideas.
    1. According to many people who play, players want more frequent material drops and I agree. Even though I noticed that Scrap drops are more frequent than they were before, I still think some things could be fiddled with. Uber Mordons should have a 50-60% drop rate of Scrap, Uber Saimons 40%, Boss Mordons 40% and Boss Saimons 30%. I just think the gameplay itself would be more fun with that. Also, the drops of Plasmide are criminally low, please enhance that. Destroying 5 Uber Devolariums and not getting any is a bit stressful.
    2. Something people from Facebook liked, as well as one of the admins of the Darkorbit page, was the suggestion of implementing dropping of materials in Pirate NPCs. They are pirates after all, aren't they? Since they're pirates, they steal materials from other aliens, and it would be amazing if they sometimes dropped things like Scrap, Plasmide, Mucosom, etc. Interceptors having the minimal drop rate and Battlerays (and Annihilators) having the highest drop rate.
    3. Something I noticed was kinda off and I'm surprised this isn't an option yet is the ability to select multiple aliens to search for. For example, I'm looking for both Uber Saimons and Uber Mordons, I want to be able to let my P.E.T. search for both. It could easily be a cheap protocol. LVL 1 Protocol lets you choose two, LVL 2 lets you choose 3 and LVL 3 lets you choose 4. I noticed that the Enemy Locator could use some editing tbh.
    4. When it comes to the Enemy Locator, something that could be changed is the fact that it only shows one (1) enemy on the mini map. I personally think it should show more but that's debatable.
    5. And lastly, something people have been wanting for a while, or didn't even know they needed is item exchange. I know I want to be able to exchange items with other people. For example, I have a drone design I don't want and I'm missing one more of the other set, so I go to the Exchange Market, look up what other people are looking for and if someone's offering something I'm looking for in return. Same goes for P.E.T. skins. I have two Legend skins I do not want because gold in this case is not my aesthetic and I'd rather have me a Poison, Borealis or Sandstorm skin.
     
  2. These things have also either been brought up, and not fully implemented or put down.
    1. Material drops really need a boost to the drop rates. Unfortunately we also have a botting thread that would point out how fast those players would gather the material compared to regular players.
    2. Pirates already drop material. I get it all the time, its just not the material you see in uppers and lowers I believe. Definitely not scrap.
    3. This is something new and I could get behind it. Enemy Locator, that really should be renamed NPC locator as the true enemy is from other companies or war clans, searching for more than 1 NPC. The only question then would be once you finish with one of the NPC, how do you turn it off while still looking for the others.
    4. The number found in the mini map could use a tweaking and more importantly the one found should be the one that you are closest to. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of times I am heading to a NPC that the locator found and pass by 2 or 3 of the same on the way to it.
    5. Item exchange will not happen as it is seen as pushing. Player has extra equipment on one account, suddenly the new 2nd account is UFE on the second day, and the 3rd account as well. I know some games have item exchange, and if it only swapped out cosmetic items, I don't see what the issue would be but for weapons and stat designs, no.
    All and all, these are great ideas, just have background issues for each of them.
     
  3. Okay I will throw my 2 cents worth in here.
    1. The material drops are extremely low on the materials, but this was because D O wanted to force the purchase of them in Shop but this failed also, the cost was too high for the wallets to want to buy them.
    2. I agree with this idea as you say they are thieves and should have the ability to drop others materials.
    3. Though this sounds good, how would you distinguish which target was where? Also, how would you deal with the issue of the engaged Enemy? I can't count the times I traveled across a map to engage a target to find it was already under attack or died before I got there.
    4. I agree that when you select the target, ALL within the Radar Range of the PET should show for you to decide which one to try to engage. With the issue of the closest not being pocked by the locator, I would kill all that I saw first.
    5. The "Exchange" has been requested many times over the years and had many different variations on how to use it. The issue as stated, and was part of the "Clan Tax Payout Change", is you have dishonest players who will use the system to better themselves (with other accounts, or a weak ship to be pushed to UFE) and would assist in adding more accounts to be sold to players who are too lazy to build their own account. A better suggestion would be to place a "SELL" value on items where we could CHOOSE Credit or Uridium as a payment, with a protection of email notification (and verification) of any Elite items being sold, this to assist the hacked account from being sold to a P'nut.
    With this said I hope D O does decide to do something about the amount of items that the UFE already have MORE than they need and allow the WEAK to get some use of them. And we must remember the Assembly System was supposed to allow the free player to advance in the game faster, but seems it has only assisted the UFE AGAIN.
     
  4. OH interesting. I had literally no idea that problem with the Exchange existed. Thanks for telling me then!

    Also, another thing that just occurred to me would be something in a style of an Extra. I noticed we don't have any means of locating dropped materials if they exist somewhere on the map, it would be nice if we could locate some stray materials with a CPU of some sort. It's nothing interesting or important, but it would be cute.

    These suggestions are bit neat. About the item exchange, I'd consider having the cosmetic exchange. Example I do have some P.E.T designs, what people want to have or say "Wow that looks cool I wish I had it too", but either they have had no luck and frustrated about it etc. or they can't afford the boxes, because they're saving e.g. Schism to Spartans etc.

    I could even buy a new pack of the P.E.T designs and throw them to somebody just for kindness. Not to mention also Ship designs, I could even donate my Expo Sentinel to someone as I barely use it anymore due to having Inferno, even though it's in the shop for 150k.

    The only problem I see here it might turn out to be a "gimme Uri for 2€ here's my BIG", but that's all, ending up people maybe scamming etc.
