[UI] New Players Update

  1. I said in another thread that I think new players need a way to survive the vengeance of a level 23 player+. I think the way to do this is to have a cheap item in the shop which will reduce the damage they take by a percentage or even just completely remove it. What fun is it logging into a game and being destroyed 10 times by someone that's literally 3 shotting you?

    Other things they could do is make Goliath and Leonov cost credits in the shop so new players can get it quicker and get on with their quest quicker. It's not like these plain designs have any use, alone they're rubbish and it barely even helps.

    I already said the Leonov should be updated for the sake of new players and this is just further improvement for the new players of the Orbit.

    I think I would really like to see this because there is nothing more upsetting then seeing new players quit the game/rage on chat because they're getting destroyed over and over by people who pay money and hence are 100 times stronger.

    Uber Elite players have no reason to be in the enemy lower maps except to destroy bases, so I think this should definitely be limited sometime soon. It's not 2009 anymore where everyone was FE and this needed to happen otherwise the game got boring.

    Another great update idea is they could create a map right in the centre of the galaxy where new players can all play together and help each other become strong. While the friendly fire is completely disabled and ships above a certain level either cannot enter it or their strong ammo, along with the ability to attack other ships, is also disabled on the map.

    This turned into a bit of a rant but it's because I'm so sick of new players not getting any benefits in this game, the quests are all really boring and stale and they have very little hope if any FE or UFE ship gets on top of them.

  2. Funny you wrote in my thread "I disagree that new maps need to be created." yet here you are saying just the same thing in the opposite way (you have it for the NEW, I had it for the UFE). We do agree that there needs to be protection to keep the NEW/weak player from quitting, but you forget that most of the Events happen i the lower maps and thus you have NOW removed them from being allowed there except to kill bases. This "RANT" needs to have more thought put into it and YOU need to stop saying one thing is not needed in one thread to say the same thing is needed in another.
     
  3. I have no idea what you are talking about honestly. I disagree with current maps being changed and new maps being added. However, the one and only exception are if it's for new players only.

    Here was my Idea;

    Do we need to create NEW maps for the UFE to play? YES and these need to be the only place they can engage a NON-UFE player in battle.

    Here is your response in my thread;

    I disagree that new maps need to be created. There's already tons of maps and a large portion of them are multi-company based.

    I had suggested the creation of Level Protection to prevent the Constant Bullying being caused by the MCC. My suggestion also used what they have already created but applied it to the server instead of a NEW server as D O has attempted to do already (Cross Server Arena) and adding some of the NPC's already created for some targets to kill that are not in normal maps if there are no Ships to kill.

    SO you want to have all of the NEW players in ONE Map (but then what exactly is a NEW Player) they do have the "Starter Gate" and X-1 is fully protected and gives full goodies until they reach level 7.

    I created a playground for the UFE where they could kill anyone who entered this map Plus have Uber Cubikons to deal with, and since this is a 3 Company Game would mean 3 MAPS, but again just taking what they designed for the Cross Server and adding it to the regular servers and IF only one map then a Base or DMZ for each Company.

  5. Both of these ideas are good I think, they are similar yet completely different.

    I think the Original Poster has a fine idea regarding a separate map or two for novice players. UFE and higher level players already have tons of maps, events and such to go to if and when bored.

    We need a population booster of some type. It is true that NEW players have a hell of a time moving up in this game. It's not like the ol' days when an FE's best hit was way lower than now and even a novice had at least a half of a chance to make it out of the map alive.

    Yes many many things have been done to help give the NEW players a fighting chance but I think this idea is a solid one.

  6. For the Goliath, remember they can bought it from Auction for low cost of the credits 100k or less. If they dont have credits, they can join in clan and ask a leader to give him credits. But for the starters, vengeance or lenov ship is good for them.

    I don't see the reason why darkorbit should make changes for buying Goliath in shop with credits.

    Remember, they also get credits by completing newbie missions, after they complete several missions they can bought it a goliath in auction, it's not a big deal with it.
