Of course it may be better than doing nothing although one may ask him or herself if the double rewards are too valuable to change, even if you choose not to compete in the rank race (see below).

Nevertheless I find your argument that people who are on their own and cannot compete with people who are not (and always have a group for hades) very strong.

But overall I find gates and ranking one of the most fascinating mechanism of the entire game: so many hours are spent in GG with the main goal being to earn honor. There is no extra damage, no extra skills, nothing but paying for rebates packages. And if that is what keeps money flowing to BP I'm all for it, after all I do not care about rank but can still benefit from the money other players spent in the form of updates.

I completely understand your point, however not many people lose money doing galaxy gates because of the reduced cost during the weekend.

I doubt Bigpoint is gonna do anything but I thought it's worth mentioning it.
